Appliance Deployment Provider NEI to Present at Seventh Annual ATCA Summit

October 27, 2011

NEI (News - Alert) has completely redefined the way in which appliances are deployed, enabling companies to see increased revenues and set themselves apart from the competition. Recently, the company revealed that it will be participating in this year’s ATCA Summit.

ATCA Summit 2011 is an AdvancedTCA and MicroTCA (News - Alert) event that brings together thought leaders in the telecom equipment provider, carrier, and other service provider industries to speak about the future direction of communications platforms utilized in the telecom central office, wireless systems, video processing, and military and defense applications. The summit will be held this year from November 1-2.

From 8:30-9:45am on Tuesday, November 1st, Austin Hipes, vice president of technology at NEI, will present “Using Private Cloud Techniques with AdvancedTCA (News - Alert) Platforms” as part of the Applications Track’s “New Applications” session 2-101 at the annual event, being held at the Doubletree Hotel in San Jose, California.

Hipes’ presentation will delve deep into how utilizing virtualization solutions and elastic provisioning techniques will assist developers with developing scalable platforms, while simultaneously ceasing the over-provisioning of resources when accelerated usage occurs within 4G wireless deployments, HD video on mobile devices, and VoIP technology solutions. In addition, Hipes will also touch on key techniques for creating private cloud solutions that can meet the increasing demands from packet processing, encryption/decryption, load balancing and transcoding, as well as how innovative ATCA platforms can help to dramatically reduce energy consumption and operational expenses.
